It is best to continue machining the pre-made mouthpiece with a lathe, which can easily machine the tenon to the required size. If a suitable lathe is not available, equipment such as Pimo tenon turning tools can also be used, which can be mounted on a power drill or drill press, Later, there were also people who directly manufactured a one-time mortise turning tool, but the unreliable factor made most of the bucket makers abandon the cheap Pimo knife and use the lathe instead.
Another good solution is to use a separately installed acetal (Delrin) tenon. It avoids the processing risk of an integrated mouthpiece. The trick to using Delrin is to accurately drill holes in the mouth of the mouthpiece, insert the Delrin in Stay. First, cut off the tenon of the prefabricated cigarette holder, use a drill or a lathe to drill the position of the Delrin tenon at the flat mouth, and then install the finished Delrin tenon.

POM resin (Delrin) tenon
Deloris is the trade name for an acetal resin engineering plastic invented and sold by DuPont. It is a lightweight, wear-resistant, smooth plastic. Often used as a metal replacement. Delrin has proven to be an excellent material for pipe fittings. It has self-lubricating function and high strength. Its strength may also be a disadvantage, because after the middle of the pipe is stressed, it may not be the tenon that breaks, but the handle is cracked, and repairing the handle is more troublesome than repairing the tenon. Another disadvantage is that some mouthpiece shapes may not be available due to the need to fit into the mouthpiece, as there is no place to insert delrin, such as a thin saddle mouth. Despite this, Delrin is still the tenon material of choice for many pipe manufacturers.
Bezel
The decorative ring is a very important part of many pipemakers and factories. It is generally fixed on the handle and has dual value of decoration and utility. The part discussed here is not the extension part on the mouthpiece, although some designs blur the two. Decorative rings are generally made of eye-catching materials.
